Book In these moments Perinatal bereavement
We are often uncomfortable in our culture to talk about
dead. Even more when it comes to a baby. nobody knows what
say. And finally it's when parents need the most
support, that they receive the least. Everyone loses: loved ones
who would like to help but don't really know how to go about it, and
also parents who need help but do not receive
usually not much.
Yet when we listen to parents, contrary to popular belief, in
these times there are actually a lot of things that can be said or
do to support them.
“In these moments” is addressed to both:
• parents who have lost their children, whether their bereavement is recent or older;
• to their loved ones - family and friends - because those around you play a major role
in the grieving process;
• as well as to medical personnel or co-workers who may
find, too, helpless to talk about the death of the toddler.
