Black walnut has long been used in traditional medicine to drive out intestinal parasites. This formula uses the unripened shells of the fruit. The black walnut is a hardwood tree that can grow up to sixty or ninety feet tall and three to six feet in diameter. The tree grows in Canada, the United States, Europe and parts of Asia. Traditionally, the roots, leaves and shells of the plant were used for medicinal purposes.
