The beautiful excuse
Once upon a time, in a small village in the south of the Peloponnese, a young boy was having a nap with his dad, under an olive tree. At that time, this boy had only one idea: that his dad falls asleep as soon as possible to join his friends. He did not yet know that his destiny lay under this gnarled olive tree, that he was going to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors and in turn become a producer of olive oil, the liquid gold of the Mediterranean.
from Greece to Quebec
Very early on, Aristo cultivated the land of the family olive grove. At the turn of adulthood, like all young people who aspire to adventure, he left his native village to settle in Quebec. He has evolved in the world of catering for more than thirty years. Having inherited a parcel of olive groves from his father, he brought back part of the harvest each year for his family and friends in Quebec. It is with the certainty of having a quality product that in 2005, with the complicity of his wife Michèle, they gave birth to LA BELLE EXCUSE.
This is how Aristo, an adopted Quebecer, brings back the Greek sun from his native countryside to bottle it in his Lanaudoise countryside.
LA BELLE EXCUSE is 6500 olive trees, 600 points of sale, 80 tons of olive oil per year, 15 pairs of hands involved in the development of the product, a family that puts all its heart into it and above all thousands customers who make it a success.
